Sequel is proud to present 'Append', the latest work by an incredibly gifted artist who has built a reputation for deeply pensive productions, while still remaining unpredictable and fresh. Ulla Straus works through rather unknown means on Append, the central focus of this material relying solely upon a meticulous ear and careful composition. "Warmer" moves along with a patience that seldom exists in today's hyperactive layering-for-layering's-sake music world. The intimate and gorgeous piano piece "Hilde" (featuring spoken word by Nat Marcus) flows like water, allowing us to take larger breaths of the air that permeates the album.
