Sequel returns from a necessary hiatus to present you with an album that truly astonishes us, and a duo that we are honored to introduce to you. Vettii (duo of Lo Bise and Simon Briggs) created 'Violetta' in 2014 while they both attended SAIC in Chicago. I was thankful to have gotten to meet and hang out with Lo for a brief time last year. The recordings these two have produced are enchanting in their style and majestic in their demeanor.
A magical world is immediately brought before you, with a simply gorgeous leading drive from "I II". It doesn't take long for the stereo image to increase in movement and brightness, as the flow of the album becomes understood in its organic & liquid scope -- "études" of synthesis, if you will. "Satie Versi" is like a pure crystalline bath in solitude, and tracks like "aur mess" place the duo perfectly at home on this label, an aromatic blend of Max/MSP and translucent sheets of Belong-esque ambient drone. "Snd Renaicycle002" escorts us through a surround sound, pastoral future.. bringing Violetta to a sublime conclusion.
Available on CDr and full digital, April 26th.

"Written in the summer of 2014 between Baltimore, MD and Chicago, IL while students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Violetta is the loving first collaboration between Lo Bise (Liai) and Simon Briggs (Si Fielding). Compiled over the internet by sharing stems and Max/MSP patches, the work exhibits a blossoming preoccupation with the melding of experimental, classical and ambient music. All songs are in their 2014 states except Snd Renaicycle 002 which was further developed throughout 2018.

What a surprising discovery! (through the Cold Tear Discord channel fyi).
Reminds me of early Kit Clayton, which is (you'll have to trust me on that) a very nice thing to say in my world.
Anyway: thank you, i am enjoying these sounds very much! Mono Peninsula / Photophob
